HTC was the first company to launch an Android powered smartphone, but, the company isn’t able to perform well in the market since past few quarters. Lately, HTC seems to be changing it strategy and launching several new smartphones in every price bracket to make a comeback in the game.
HTC has taken bold steps while designing their 2016 flagship, and has managed to impress the consumers and critics alike with its recent line-up of smartphones. Here are the latest HTC smartphones that were launched in India in 2016. Maybe you would like to get one for yourself.
1. HTC 10
The 2016 flagship from HTC is undoubtedly the best smartphone HTC has ever produced. The all new metal design with chamfered edges adds to the charm of HTC 10. The device is a total powerhouse with the Snapdragon 820 running inside, and a beautiful 5.2-inch QHD display on the front.
It was recently launched in India, after the global launch earlier this year, for a price of Rs. 52,990. Among all the latest HTC smartphones, the HTC 10 is priced the highest, and caters the group of customers looking for a premium device as their daily driver. It will go up for sales starting June 5th, 2016.
2. HTC Desire 628
Coming down to lower mid-range, the company launched the HTC Desire 628 alongside HTC 10 in India. Priced at Rs. 13990, the Desire 628 is just like any other HTC phone. It comes with a set of basic features that include an octa-core MediaTek processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and dual frontal stereo speakers.
Besides this, the HTC Desire 628 sports a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Sense UI on top. The dual SIM smartphone supports 4G network and comes with a 13 MP camera on the back and a 5 MP camera on the front.
3. HTC One X9
Another smartphone from HTC in their One series, but the HTC One X9 is one of the latest HTC smartphones and is targeted at higher mid-range segment. The metal clad device is beautiful to look at, and comes packed with all the good features from HTC’s stable.
It comes with MediaTek Helio X10 processor, and has a 5.5-inch display on the front. The RAM capacity of the device is 3 GB, and the internal storage is of 32 GB. It was one of the first devices from HTC to come with Android 6.0 out of the box. The 13 MP shooter with OIS takes care of the camera department.
4. HTC Desire 825
Sitting between the Desire 628 and One X9, HTC Desire 825 comes with a design language similar to the HTC 10, but in a polycarbonate body. The company has removed the front facing stereo speakers, just like in HTC 10. It also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense UI on top.
The design language seems really refreshing with its micro splash effect on the back, and the colour combination also seems pleasing. The device is powered by Snapdragon 400 processor and has a RAM of 2 GB. It will be available for Rs. 18990.
5. HTC Desire 828
Launched in the month of April 2016, HTC Desire 828 was targeted at the customers who want an all-rounder in the budget of Rs. 20000. The device offers usual set of features that a mid-ranger should come with, including an octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 5.5-inch FHD screen and many more.
It does come with BoomSound dual front stereo speakers, and is one of the best ones among the latest HTC smartphones launched in India. It was launched for Rs. 19990. But you can grab it for much less from any of the online stores.
