After several rounds of leaks and rumours, OnePlus 3 finally went official yesterday. It was launched in a special event broadcasted in 360-degree all over the world simultaneously, including India. The device immediately went for sale and its Indian pricing matches the global pricing. Let’s have a look at its features.
The company has ditched their well-known sandstone finish in favour of the full metal unibody design. The OnePlus 3 comes with an all-new metal body and it now feels much better to hold and use. The display on the front is of 5.5 inches and has a resolution of 1080p. It is an AMOLED panel and is covered with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4.
Unlike stated by the leaks and rumours, the OnePlus 3 comes with only one variant with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 820 processor and Adreno 530, ensuring top notch performance. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Oxygen OS 3.1 on top.
A super fast fingerprint scanner sits right below the display and it has been improved from the one on OnePlus 2. The device can take dual nano SIM cards and both are 4G enabled along with support for VoLTE. This time, the company did not forget to include NFC in the device. Besides these, the OnePlus 3 features a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing.
The camera optics on the device have also seen an upgrade. The rear camera now has a 16 MP sensor from Sony that comes with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS, 4K video recording and much more. There is an 8 MP camera on the front too has an aperture of f/2.0. The battery capacity of the device is 3000 mAh and has support for Dash Charging, which the company claims to charge the phone from 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes.
